Narrow jaw
The characteristic symptoms are narrow dental arches in connection with crowded front teeth. In addition, these patients usually have a high palate and dense tooth follicle position (echelon position) in the frontal tooth area. It needs to be considered whether a general dental or jaw size misproportion applies or whether an underdevelopment of the jaw has to be diagnosed (undersized upper jaw = micrognathia; undersized lower jaw = microgenia).
