Parodontitis caused by external factors

Local tooth-related factors: special tooth forms, tooth sizes, tooth positions and resulting niches, overlapping filling or crown rims, lack of contact points after filling or crown therapy and lack of supported tooth replacement.

Mucogingival conditions: in most cases, gingival or parodontal recessions are a sure sign of overagressive brushing technique. Brushing is performed too often, with an overhard brush and too much pressure.
